Removal Procedure
1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac-N-Fill) (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service
and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the upper and lower fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (LMM Diesel) (See: Engine, Cooling and

3. Remove the surge tank outlet hose (1) from the surge tank.
4. Remove the radiator outlet hose from the water pump.
