Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the cooling fan pulley. Refer to Fan Pulley Replacement (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator Cooling
Fan/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor bolt.
3. Remove the CMP sensor.
Installation Procedure
1. Lubricate the CMP sensor O-ring with clean engine oil.
2. Install the CMP sensor.
