Headliner Sags in Center of Roof (Install Retainer)

Models:
2006 Chevrolet Silverado
2006 GMC Sierra

Attention:

This repair is for vehicles without overhead consoles (DK8 or DK7) or sunroof (CF5).

Condition

Some customers may comment that the headliner sags in the center of the roof.

Cause

The retainers attached to the back side of the headliner may not be strong enough to hold it in place.

Correction

1.

Starting at the location shown on the handle (refer to the illustration above), follow the contour of the headliner, measuring 495 mm (19-1/2 in)
from the rear door assist handle across the truck.
