Silverado 3500 2WD V8-6.6L DSL Turbo (2006)
1. Install the rear axle drain plug.

Tighten the rear axle drain plug to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
2. Fill the rear axle. Use the proper fluid. Refer to Capacities - Approximate Fluid and Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations.
3. For the 9.5/9.5LD and the 10.5 inch axles, install the rear axle fill plug.

Tighten the rear axle fill plug to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
4. For the 11.5 inch axle, install the seal and the fill plug.

Tighten the rear axle fill plug to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
5. Lower the vehicle.
