Silverado 3500 2WD V8-8.1L VIN G (2005)
Install the steering gear actuator and cover (2) retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the electrical connectors to the control module (2).
4. Install the differential vent hose (1) to the vent tube (2).
5. Install the outer tie rod ends to the steering knuckle. Refer to Rear Wheel Steering Tie Rod End Replacement - Outer.
6. Install the drain plug (2) and fill the differential with fluid.
7. Install the bolts (3) retaining the steering gear protection shield.

Tighten the bolts to 180 Nm (132 ft. lbs.).
8. Install the tire and wheel.
9. Lower the vehicle.
10. Check the wheel alignment.
