Pick-Up Coil: Testing and Inspection

1.
Place ignition switch in OFF position.
2.
Remove distributor cap and dust proof cover from distributor assembly.
3.
Disconnect red signal generator (pickup coil) wire from igniter (module).
4.
Using a suitable ohmmeter, measure resistance across signal generator red and white wires. Resistance value obtained should be 140 - 180 ohms.
