Idle-Up Compensator: Testing and Inspection
Electric Load Vacuum Switching Valve
Testing
1.
Disconnect electric load VSV hoses at three-way joints.
2.
With ignition switch ``Off,'' blow air from end of one hose, then check that VSV valve has no continuity.
3.
With ignition switch and headlamp switch ``On,'' blow air from end of one hose, then check that VSV has continuity.
4.
Connect hoses. If checks are not satisfactory, disconnect VSV connector.
5.
With ignition switch and headlamps ``On,'' check that 12 volts are present at white/red lead wire on wire harness side of disconnected connector.
After checking, turn off switches.
6.
Check that resistance between terminals on VSV side of disconnected connector is 51 - 57 ohms.
