Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair
Wheel Hub & Bearing Replace
FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS AND/OR HUB
Fig. 5 Checking dimension ``A'' to assure proper installation of hub
1.
Raise and support vehicle and remove front wheel.
2.
Remove cotter pin and driveshaft castle nut.
3.
Remove caliper bolts and caliper. Hang caliper aside.
4.
Refer to
Fig. 5, and measure dimension A for assembly reference. Pull hub out of knuckle.

Disconnect tie rod end from knuckle with tool J-21687-02 or equivalent.
6.
Remove strut to knuckle bolts and then ball joint stud pinch bolt,

Remove knuckle.
8.
Using suitable drift, remove outer, then inner bearing from knuckle.
