Important: The LH/RH latches should release at the same time. If the latches do not release at the same time, then repeat the adjustment
procedure as necessary.
10. Cycle the release lever to release the rear compartment lid latches.
11. Install the lock cylinder latch plate cover. Refer to Lock Cylinder Latch Plate Cover Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (See: Tailgate Lock
Cylinder/Service and Repair/Lock Cylinder Latch Plate Cover Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid) .
12. Close the rear compartment lid.
13. Close the endgate.
