Latch Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Lower the endgate.
3. Remove the rear compartment endgate liner. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Liner Replacement  (See: Truck Bed/Bed Liner/Service and

Repair/Rear Compartment Endgate Liner Replacement) .

4. Remove the endgate access panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Endgate Access Panel Replacement  (See: Tailgate Cover/Service and Repair) .

5. Remove the endgate latch fasteners.
6. Remove the endgate latch from the vehicle.
7. Remove the latch release rod from the latch.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the latch release rod to the latch.
