Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement 

Removal Procedure 

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Position the drain pan as needed.

3. Disconnect the transmission cooler lines from the radiator. 
4. Remove the catalytic converter. 
5. Remove the transmission support. 
6. Lower the transmission to gain access for pipe removal.
7. Disconnect the cooler lines from the retainer (2) located on the right side of the engine.
8. Disconnect the transmission cooler lines from the transmission. 
9. Remove the oil cooler lines from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure 

1. Connect the transmission cooler lines to the vehicle.
2. Connect the transmission cooler lines to the transmission. 
3. Connect the cooler lines to the retainer (2), located on the right side of the engine.
4. Install the transmission support. 
5. Install the catalytic converter. 
6. Connect the transmission cooler lines to the radiator. 
7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Fill the transmission to the proper level with DEXRON III transmission fluid. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications.
