J44685 Rear Axle Seal and Bearing Remover

J45857 Tone Wheel and/or Bearing Remover

J45860 Tone Ring Installer

Removal Procedure 

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting..
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
3. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor. Refer to Wheel Speed Sensor Replacement - Rear.
4. Remove the rear axle housing cover. Refer to Rear Axle Housing Cover and Gasket Replacement in Rear Drive Axle.

5. Remove the axle shaft. Refer to Rear Axle Shaft Replacement (8.6 Inch Axle W/O 9.5 Inch Axle) or Rear Axle Shaft Replacement (8.6 Inch Axle

W/JL4J or Rear Axle Shaft Replacement (9.75 Inch Axle)in Rear Drive Axle.

6. Remove the axle shaft seal and the bearing from the axle housing using the J44685 (1) and the J2619-01 (2).
7. Remove the wheel speed sensor ring from the axle housing using the J45857 (1) and the J2619-01 (2).

Installation Procedure 

1. Install the wheel speed sensor ring using the J45860 (1) and the J8092 (2).
2. Drive the wheel speed sensor ring into the axle housing until the tool bottoms against the tube.
