Condition 1
Some customers may comment that the third row seat(s) won't release from the floor or tumble forward when using the release lever or pulling the
carrying handle. When this condition is present, the seat will be fully latched to the vehicle but will not release. When the release lever is activated to
remove the seat, the outboard seat latch will release, but the inboard seat latch will not release. This is not an intermittent condition. Once this occurs in
the vehicle, the seat will not tumble or release from the vehicle for removal.
Condition 2
Some customers may comment that the third row seat(s) won't release from the floor or tumble forward when using the release lever or pulling the
carrying handle. When this condition is present, the seat will be fully latched to the vehicle but will not release. When the release lever is activated to
remove the seat, the outboard and inboard seat latches will not release. This is not an intermittent condition. Once this occurs in the vehicle, the seat will
not tumble or release from the vehicle for removal.
Cause 1
This condition may be caused by one of the control cables, located in the lower seat assembly, coming out of its retaining bracket. If this occurs, the
outboard seat latch will release but the inboard seat latch will not release.

This condition may be caused by the control cables, located in the lower seat assembly, coming out of their retaining brackets. If this occurs, the
outboard and inboard seat latches will not release.
Correction 1
Use the following steps to remove the affected seat, revise the cable bracket and secure the cable using a cable tie strap. This procedure will require the
replacement of the seat trim. The original panel will be unusable after the access hole is created.
1. Locate the area to drill the access hole. On the right seat, the location is next to the release handle (1). On the left seat, the location is inboard of
the carrying handle (2).
