Rear Object Sensor Housing Replacement

Rear Object Sensor Housing Replacement

1. Remove the rear fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement (Avalanche, Cadillac EXT)   (See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Rear

Bumper/Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia/Service and Repair)Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement (All Utility, Cadillac ESV)   (See: Body and
Frame/Bumper/Rear Bumper/Rear Bumper Cover / Fascia/Service and Repair).

2. Disconnect the sensor harness.
3. Remove the sensor from the sensor housing. 

The sensor housing must be painted if replaced. If reinstalled, painting will not be necessary.

Important:  Do Not grind off alignment tabs.

4. Sand/grind sonic weld plastic residue from the fascia.
