Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

1. Install the rear axle drain plug and tighten to 33 Nm(24 lb ft).
2. Fill the rear axle with the proper fluid. Refer to Approximate Fluid Capacities   (See: Specifications) and Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations   (

See: Specifications).

3. Install the fill plug and tighten to 33 Nm(24 lb ft).
4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle   (See: Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
