6. Ensure the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position when the tires and wheels are in the straight ahead position.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

7. Install the steering shaft nut (2).

Tighten the steering shaft nut to 33 Nm (23.5 ft. lbs.).

8. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module to the steering wheel. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in

SIR.

9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in SIR.
