Front Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair

Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement 

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front side door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement. See: Front Door Panel/Service and

Repair/Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement

2. Open the front side door outside handle rod retainer (2) and remove the front side door outside handle rod (1) from the front side door outside

handle (3).

3. Remove the following components from the door:

1. The 2 bolts
2. The outside handle (3)

Installation Procedure

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the front side door outside handle (3) to the door. Secure the handle with the 2 bolts.

Tighten the front side door outside handle bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

2. Install the front side door outside handle rod (1) to the outside handle (3). Secure the rod by closing the front side door outside handle rod retainer

(2).

3. Install the front side door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement. See: Front Door Panel/Service and

Repair/Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
