Important:  The roof panel trim appears to be seamed, however it is designed to be removed as a 1 piece unit. Attempting to remove the
roof panel trim in pieces may damage the trim.

1. Remove the sunshade supports (1). Refer to Sunshade Anchor Replacement  (See: Sun Visor/Service and Repair/Sunshade Anchor Replacement) .
2. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

1. The 2 screws which secure each sunshade (3)
2. The sunshades (3)

3. Remove the folding top latches. Refer to Folding Top Latch Replacement in Roof.
4. Remove the front assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement (2 - Door)  (See: Passenger Assist Handle/Service and Repair/Assist Handle

5. Remove the upper center pillar trim. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement (2 Door)  (See: Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel

6. Remove the dome lamp. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement.
7. Remove the following components from the roof panel (3):

1. The screw which secures each folding top material snap (1)
2. The folding top material snaps (1)

8. Lower the roof panel trim (1) by gently prying loose the plastic retainers which secure the panel.
