Front Seat Back Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket  (See: Service and Repair/Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
2. Remove the front seat inner adjuster finish cover. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer)  (See: Service and

3. Remove the front seat outer adjuster finish cover. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer)  (See: Service and

Repair/Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer))Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Inner)  (See: Service

4. Release the J-retainer (2) on the bottom of the seat back cushion (1) which secures the cushion around the seat adjuster lateral rod (3).

5. Remove the 2 bolts (2) which secure each seat adjuster (3) to the seat back cushion (1).
6. Remove the seat back cushion (1) from the front seat.

Installation Procedure

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the seat back cushion (1) to the front seat. Secure the cushion to each seat adjuster (3) with the 2 mounting bolts (2).

Tighten the front seat back cushion mounting bolts to 35 N.m (25 lb ft).
