2. Apply chassis grease, GM P/N 12377985, or equivalent, to the inner tie rod (1).
3. Ensure the boot is not twisted, dented, or improperly folded.
4. Secure the boot (3) to the inner tie rod with the boot clip (2).
5. Install the outer tie rod. Refer to Tie Rod End Replacement - Outer.
6. Lower the vehicle.
