Air Filter Element: Service and Repair

AIR CLEANER ELEMENT REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the radiator support diagonal brace if applicable.
2. Remove the radiator air intake baffle if applicable.

3. Loosen the three air cleaner cover/resonator retaining screws (2) one shown, and remove the cover/resonator (1).

4. Lift the air cleaner element (1) and air outlet duct (3) from the lower air cleaner housing/washer solvent tank assembly (2).
5. Remove the air cleaner element (1) by grasping the air cleaner element and removing it from the air outlet duct (3) with a twisting and pulling

motion.

6. Inspect the entire assembly for debris or damage and repair as necessary.
