Transfer Case Fluid Replacement (Trailblazer, Envoy) 

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the fuel tank shield, if equipped.
3. Remove the fill plug.

4. Remove the drain plug.

Installation Procedure

1. Apply pipe sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) or equivalent to the drain plug threads.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the drain plug.

Tighten the plug to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).

3. Fill the transfer case with the proper fluid. Refer to Capacities - Approximate Fluid on page 4-255.
