Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector (1).
2. Remove the CMP sensor retaining bolt.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.

Tighten
Tighten the CMP sensor bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

2. Install the CMP sensor electrical connector (1).
