Service Procedure
Some vehicles involved in this customer satisfaction program may have had their instrument panel cluster (IPC) replaced prior to this program. As a
result, the replacement cluster may not need to be reprogrammed. To determine whether the IPC in the vehicle requires reprogramming, the following
procedure must be performed.
Important:
The Tech 2 diagnostic tool must be updated with software version 8.0, released July 2002, or newer, in order to perform the reprogramming.
1. Connect the Tech 2 to the vehicle's data link connector (DLC) located under the instrument panel to the right of the steering column.
