Uplander AWD V6-3.5L VIN 8 (2005)
1. Align the indents on the piston face to match the pin on the brake pad.
2. Inspect the bracket bolt guide assembly.
3. Inspect the brake pad hardware and replace if necessary.
4. Install the brake caliper onto the caliper bracket insuring that the guide boots are not damaged.
5. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the brake caliper bolts.

Tighten the brake caliper bolts to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
6. Remove the plugs in the brake hose end.
7. Important: Install NEW copper brake hose gaskets.
Assemble the brake hose bolt and the NEW copper brake hose gaskets to the brake hose.
8. Install the brake hose to caliper bolt to the brake caliper. When installing the rear brake hose to caliper, hold hose up while tightening.

Tighten the brake hose to caliper bolt to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
Important: Maintain proper rear park brake cable routing and clearances. Verify that the rear park brake cables have a minimum of 10 mm and a
maximum of 12 mm of clearance to the wheel drive shafts (1). Maintain this clearance using retention straps or equivalent retention (2).
9. Install the park brake cable into the park brake bracket on the caliper.
10. Connect the park brake cable to the park brake lever on the brake caliper.
