1. Remove either the 40A, RH or LH power sliding door fuse from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block in order to disable the power at the power
sliding door motor.
Caution: If a window is cracked but still intact, crisscross the window with masking tape in order to reduce the risk of damage or personal injury.
Important: Before cutting out a stationary window, apply a double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces
on the exterior door surface.
2. Open the sliding door.
3. Remove the sliding door garnish molding. Refer toGarnish Molding Replacement - Sliding Door (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /
Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Garnish Molding Replacement - Sliding Door) in Doors.
Caution: When working with any type of glass or sheet metal with exposed or rough edges, wear approved safety glasses and gloves in order to
reduce the chance of personal injury.
Important: Keep the cutting edge of the tool against the window.
This will allow the urethane adhesive to be separated from the window.
4. If the original reveal molding on the window is damaged it must be replaced, if equipped.
