1. Install the liftgate latch to the liftgate
2. Secure the lock cylinder cable (1) into the liftgate latch.
3. Install the latch cable to the liftgate latch and engage latch cable retainer (2).
4. Connect the electrical connector to the liftgate latch.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

5. Install the liftgate latch retainer bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

6. Install the liftgate water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Liftgate  (See: Trunk / Liftgate Interior Trim Panel/Service and Repair)

7. Close the liftgate.
