3. Install the CPA to the left seat belt retractor pretensioner connector.
4. Connect the left SIS wiring harness connector (2) to the left SIS (1).
5. Install the CPA (3) to the SIS connector (1).
6. Position the SIS (1) back inside the center pillar and slide back into place and tighten the SIS fasteners.
7. Install the left lower center pillar trim cover.
8. Install the Air Bag Fuse.
9. Install the cover for the underhood fuse center.
10. Use caution while reaching in and turning the ignition switch to the ON position.The AIR BAG indicator will flash, then turn OFF.
11. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle, if the AIR BAG warning indicator does not operate as described. Refer to Diagnostic System

DISABLING PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Refer to SIR Service Precautions.
1. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead.
2. Turn OFF the ignition.
3. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
4. Open the hood and locate the underhood fuse center.
5. Lift the cover for the underhood fuse center.
6. Locate and remove the air bag fuse from the underhood fuse center.
IMPORTANT: With the Air Bag Fuse removed and the ignition ON, the AIR BAG indicator illuminates. This is normal operation, and does not
indicate an SIR System malfunction.
7. Remove the driver/left instrument panel (I/P) insulator panel.
8. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) from the steering wheel module coil yellow connector (1) located at the base of the steering
column.
9. Disconnect the steering wheel module coil connector (1).
ENABLING PROCEDURE
1. Remove the key from the ignition.
