Some models of the above vehicles are equipped with CS-121, CS-130, or CS-144 Delcotron generators and without automatic belt tensioning
equipment. On these applications, the generator belt tension is adjusted by forcing the generator against the belt until the belt tension specification is
reached. When adjusting the belt tension for a CS-generator in this manner, it is important that the force be applied properly to avoid damaging the
generator.
As with several other Delcotron models, the CS-series housing includes an adjustment lug on the drive end frame (see illustration), which should be used
to push the generator against the belt while the adjustment bolt is tightened. A 3/4" wrench (or equivalent) should be used when holding the generator by
this lug.
