2. Connect the SIS-LF yellow 2-way connector (2) to the SIS-LF (1) located near the bottom of the left side B-Pillar.
3. Install the CPA (3) to the SIS-LF yellow 2-way connector (2).
4. Install the seat belt retractor trim cover.
5. Install the SIR fuse into the fuse block.
6. Staying well away from all air bags and pretensioners, turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
6.1.
The AIR BAG indicator will flash 7 times.
6.2.
The AIR BAG indicator will then turn OFF.
7. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Restraint Systems if the AIR BAG indicator does not operate as described.

DISABLING PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: Refer to SIR Service Precautions before disabling the SIR system.
1. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead.
2. Turn OFF the ignition.
3. Remove the key from the ignition.
IMPORTANT: With the SIR fuse removed and the ignition ON, the AIR BAG indicator illuminates. This is normal operation and does not indicate
an SIR system malfunction.
4. Remove the SIR fuse from the fuse block.
5. Remove the left instrument panel insulator panel.
6. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) (3) from the steering wheel module coil yellow 4-way connector (2) located at the base of the
steering column.
7. Disconnect the steering wheel module coil yellow 4-way connector (2).
