Condition
Some owners may comment on a whistle type noise on light acceleration.
Cause
Casting porosity in the throttle body may be creating the whistle noise.
Correction
Replace the throttle body and, if necessary, throttle body gasket. Refer to the Engine Controls sub-section of Engines in the appropriate Service Manual.
The throttle body gasket should be inspected and re-used if not damaged.
