SPECIAL TOOLS / EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

REPAIR PROCEDURE - USING THE INTERNET TO RETRIEVE THE FLASH FILE:

1.

Reprogram the PCM with the latest software. Follow the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TECHCONNECT, Refer To 8
- Electrical/Electronic Control Modules/Powertrain Control Module - Standard Procedure PCM/ECM Programming - Gas.

2.

Type the necessary information on the "Authorized Modification Label" p/n 04275086AB and attach it near the VECI label.

3.

Is the vehicle equipped with a NAG1 transmission (sales code DGJ)?

a.

Yes >> proceed to Step # 4

b.

No >> proceed to Step # 8

4.

Is the vehicle a 2009 model year?

a.

Yes >> proceed to Step # 9

b.

No >> proceed to Step # 5

5.

Using the StarSCAN(R) preform the Initialize EG552 routine.

6.

Preform the TCM ADAPTATION - NAG1 detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TECHCONNECT, Refer To 8 -
Electrical/Electronic Control Modules/Powertrain Control Module - Standard Procedure TCM ADAPTATION - NAG1 Only. Repair is complete.

7.

Using the StarSCAN(R) erase any DTC's that may be set.

8.

Clear the Variable Line Pressure (VLP) Counters, found in the StarSCAN(R) Misc Function Menu. VLP Clear Counters must be completed on all
models with a 42RLE transmission.

9.

Using the StarSCAN(R) erase any DTC's that may be set. Repair is complete.
