Tie Rod End: Service and Repair
Tie Rod End - Removal
Outer Tie Rod - All-Wheel-Drive
OUTER TIE ROD - ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE
1. Raise and support vehicle. See: Wheels and Tires/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair
2. Remove wheel mounting nuts (3), then front tire and wheel assembly (1).
CAUTION: When loosening jam nut and rotating inner tie rod, use care not to twist bellows at inner tie rod. Remove clamp (2) at inner tie rod
and make sure bellows moves freely before rotating inner tie rod.
3. Loosen tie rod jam nut (1) at outer tie rod (4).
