Engine Oil Pan - Removal

REMOVAL

WARNING: On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In

addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High
Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury

4X2

1. Power down the vehicle   See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Service and Repair/Battery System - High Voltage Power

Down

2. Loosen both left and right side engine mount through bolts. Do not remove bolts.
3. Install Engine Support Fixture 8534B (1). Do not raise engine at this time.

4. Remove fan and fan shroud.
5. Remove the structural collar See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Structural Dust Cover - Removal.
6. Drain engine oil.
7. Remove the front crossmemberSee: Body and Frame/Frame/Cross-Member/Service and Repair/Crossmember - Removal.
