14. Remove the water pump drive belt (1) See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Removal
WARNING: Do not remove the radiator pressure cap, cylinder block drain plugs or loosen the radiator draincock with the system hot and
under pressure. Serious burns from coolant can occur.
15. Loosen the radiator petcock.
16. Remove the cylinder block drain plugs (1) and completely drain the cooling system.

18. Remove the left and right cylinder heads See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Cylinder Head - Removal
19. Remove the oil pan See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Pan/Service and Repair/Engine Oil Pan - Removal
20. Remove the timing case cover See: Timing Components/Timing Cover/Service and Repair/Engine Timing Cover(s) - Removal
