1. Perform the HEV high voltage power down procedure See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Service and Repair/Battery
System - High Voltage Power Down
2. Remove the ignition coils (1) See: Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Ignition Coil/Service and Repair/Ignition Coil - Removal
3. Remove the cylinder head cover See: Cylinder Head Assembly/Valve Cover/Service and Repair/Cylinder Head Cover(s) - Removal
