Drive Belt: Removal and Replacement
Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Removal
5.7L HEV ENGINE
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Using hand tools (3) , rotate the crankshaft clockwise, walking the water pump drive belt (2) off of the crankshaft pulley (1).

5.7L HEV ENGINE
1. Position the drive belt (1) onto the crankshaft pulley (1). Make sure the belt is fully seated in the grooves.
2. Start the drive belt (1) onto the water pump pulley.
3. Working from the back side of the water pulley, insert a nylon wire tie, 196.85X3.175X1.27mm (7.75X0.125x0.050 in.), through one of the holes
in the pulley.
CAUTION: Do not use a wire tie with a metal locking tab.
4. Tighten the wire tie to hold the drive belt in position.
5. While holding the drive belt to make sure it stays in position, using a ratchet and socket (3), slowly rotate the engine clockwise.
6. Once the belt is in position on the pulley, continue rotating the engine until the wire tie snaps.
