Auxiliary Pump Hydraulic Pressure Test
AUXILIARY PUMP HYDRAULIC PRESSURE TEST
An accurate pressure test gauge is required. The Pressure Gauge C-3293SP has a 0-300 psi range and is used at all locations where the pressures exceed
100 psi.
PRESSURE TEST PORT LOCATIONS
The transmission line pressure ports are located on the upper left hand side of the bellhousing. There are two bolts that has to be removed to access the
ports. The main pump line pressure is monitored using the bottom port (2). The auxiliary transmission oil pump pressure is monitored using the upper
port (1).
To determine the line pressure, pressure test adaptor kit 10172 must be used. These tools must be assembled and installed as an assembly onto the
transmission, due to accessibility. The pressure port must be accessed through the drivers side fender well.
TOOL INSTALLATION
1. Remove the LH front wheel and tire assembly.
2. Remove the LH fender well liner. See: Body and Frame/Fender/Rear Fender/Rear Fender Liner/Description and Operation.
3. Remove the auxiliary oil pump access port bolt (1) from the transmission bellhousing.
