Child protection lock control will not move to the "engage" position.

DIAGNOSIS:

Loosen two rear door trim panel attaching screws (one in the arm rest pull cup and one behind the door latch handle). Push door trim panel rearward and
tighten screws. If child protection lock still will not engage, perform the repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves replacing bent rear door latch linkage.

1.

Remove the door trim panel on affected door.

2.

Replace bent latch linkage.

3.

Install door trim panel as far rearward as possible, being careful not to bend latch link.

POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
