Cirrus V6-2.5L VIN H (1995)
Rattle (chuckle) from the door latch/striker area as vehicle encounters uneven road surfaces. May affect one or more of the doors.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves adjusting door striker(s) to eliminate rattles.
1.
Loosen striker and set in the outboard and full up position. Soft torque screws to approximately 20 in.lbs.
2.
Slowly close door with outside handle pulled to open making sure striker enters latch opening. Push door in to full latched position with outside
handle in open position.
3.
Check overflush condition.
4.
Open door and tap in striker the required amount to flush door with a 2 lb. soft face mallet.
5.
If underflush, slam door hard to pull striker out. Repeat step to flush door.
6.
Final torque screws to 250 in.lbs.

Corrosion (rust) on the rear door interlock striker.
NOTE:
ALL CUSTOMER AND STOCK VEHICLES WITH THIS CONDITION SHOULD HAVE THE REPAIR PERFORMED.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves replacing the rear door interlock strikers with revised parts.
1.
Mark outline of existing interlock striker on "C" pillar to aid installation.
2.
Remove existing interlock striker.
3.
Install revised striker, P/N 4814143, torque to 47 Nm (35 ft.lbs.).
