Replacement of the solenoid control module can be done without removing steering gear from vehicle. The solenoid control module is mounted on the
steering gear assembly fluid lines.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect solenoid control module electrical connectors.
3. Unclip locking tab, holding module to fluid lines, on bottom side of control module.
4. Rotate module upward, then remove the two upper attaching clips from steering gear.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. Hook upper tabs on solenoid control module to upper steering gear fluid lines.
b. Rotate module downward until locking tab on bottom of module is locked on lower power steering gear fluid line.
c. Connect control module electrical connectors. Ensure connector seal is in good condition prior to installation.
