DISCUSSION:
A new steering gear coupler retaining pinch bolt, P/N 6502413, MUST be installed anytime the steering column/intermediate shaft or steering gear are
serviced. This pinch bolt contains a mastic patch that is destroyed when initially installed. Installing a used/new bolt without a mastic patch will affect the
axial alignment of the connection when tightening the bolt.
