Stop Lamp Switch: Service and Repair

STOP LIGHT SWITCH, REPLACE

The stop lamp switch incorporates a self adjusting feature. If replacement or adjustment is required, proceed as follows:

1. Install switch in retaining bracket and push switch forward as far as possible. The brake pedal will move forward slightly.
2. Gently pull back on brake pedal bringing striker back toward switch until brake pedal stops. This will cause switch to ratchet backward to the

correct position.

Very little movement is required and no further adjustment is necessary.
