Fuel Rail: Service and Repair

WARNING:  Fuel system pressure must be released prior to any service of fuel injection components.

NOTE:  Tag injector electrical connectors for proper cylinder identification.

REMOVAL

1.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.

Disconnect intake air hose from throttle body.

Throttle Cable 3.3L

3.

Hold throttle lever in wide open position. Remove throttle cable and speed control cable from lever.

4.

Compress locking tabs on throttle cable and speed control cable and remove them from bracket.

EGR Transducer 3.3L

5.

Disconnect EGR solenoid electrical connector.
