Intermittent "Pop" Noise in Radio Speakers

MODELS: 
1996 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision

NOTE

THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH THE PREMIUM INFINITY RADIO SYSTEM (SALES CODES "ARD" AND
"ARA") WITH POWER ANTENNA.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:  
An intermittent "pop" noise from the radio speakers.

DIAGNOSIS:

May be heard when the radio power is turned off with the ignition on or when the ignition is turned off with the radio on. If this condition can be
duplicated perform the Repair Procedure.

Wiring, Antenna Suppression

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves installing an antenna suppression wiring harness.

1.

Open trunk lid and pull interior trim carpet down to expose power antenna assembly.

2.

Disconnect power antenna wiring connector.

3.

Install antenna suppression wiring harness, P/N 04886132AA, between the existing connectors.

4.

Install interior trim carpet.
