Distributor: Service and Repair
Without Electronic Spark Control (ESC)
Distributor Removal
1.
Disconnect vacuum line at distributor (if equipped).
2.
Disconnect distributor pickup lead(s) at wiring harness connector, then remove distributor cap.
3.
Mark position of rotor on distributor body and engine block surface so that distributor can be installed in the same position.
4.
Remove hold-down and/or bolt and lift distributor from engine.
