This bulletin involves installing a first gear synchronizer, seal and plug.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a manual transmission (sales code DED) with a serial number 716.64X through and including
716.67X, built on or before December 31, 2003 (MDH 1231XX) (Fig. 1).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The vehicle operator may experience transmission disengagement from first gear during normal acceleration.
DIAGNOSIS:
The condition may be difficult to duplicate. If the vehicle operator describes the Symptom/Condition and the transmission serial number is between
716.64X and 716.67X, perform the Repair Procedure (Fig. 1).
