Convertible Top Control Module: Description and Operation
The Power Top Control Module (PTCM) (1) is located in the trunk below the left rear tail light assembly and next to the power top hydraulic assembly.
The PTCM is mounted to an attaching bracket at the power top hydraulic assembly. The PTCM is a microprocessor based module that monitors and
operates the power top functions.
The PTCM controls each set of hydraulic cylinders through the power top hydraulic assembly. The power top hydraulic assembly operates the hydraulic
cylinders and is monitored by the PTCM to control each step of the raising and lowering of the convertible top. The PTCM also controls both power
windows through the Controller Area Network (CAN) lines to lower and raise the power windows when the power top switch is depressed.
