SYMPTOM/CONDITION
^
The low engine oil level warning message may not be given due to an interference condition that could interrupt the dipstick to dipstick base
electrical connection.
^
High dipstick insertion and removal effort may be due to an undersized dipstick tube.
DIAGNOSIS
To determine if the inoperative low engine oil message is related to the dipstick, make sure the dipstick is fully seated in the dipstick base. If not seated,
it may be due to interference with the distributor wire shield. Engine vibration may then cause upward movement of the dipstick, opening the contacts,
thus preventing the low oil level message.
