SYMPTOM/CONDITION

Transaxle oil leak at speedometer pinion adapter.

DIAGNOSIS

Inspect transaxle for oil leak at the speedometer cable adapter. If leak is evident in this area, then it will be necessary to replace the speedometer cable
adapter and Orings.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

This repair requires replacement of the speedometer adapter.

1.

Remove speedometer cable at transaxle adapter.

2.

Remove speedometer adapter.

3.

Install new speedometer adapter with new O-rings and seal.

4.

Reinstall speedometer cable.

5.

Check for leaks.
